Mahanakhon Tower, also known as King Power Mahanakhon, is, by far, one of my favorite additions to the Bangkok skyline.
It’s simply one of the most gorgeous pieces of architecture anywhere in the world.
For my British friends out there, you might recognize the name King Power, as the name is on the stadium that Leicester City football club plays in and the team was owned by Kuhn Vichai, the former head of the the King Power retail conglomerate.
At 77-stories totaling 314 meters, or 1,031 feet, Mahanakhon stood as the tallest building in all of Thailand from 2016 when it opened until 2018 when its was surpassed by Magnolia Waterfront Residences at IconSiam.
For a mere million US dollars, you can get a base level condo in the building. And for just under $20 million, you can go full rap star.
For those of us with more modest budgets, we can still enjoy the spectacular views from Mahanakhon by visiting the observation deck at the top of the building.
