I’m killing some time playing $1/$2 on Paradise and this guy sits down with $525. When you sit down at the Paradise table it gives you a choice of the recommended $40 (which is the default selection for that limit) or you have to type in some other amount. Basically, what I’m getting at is that this guy went out of his way to sit down at a $1/$2 table with 263BB. There’s only two reasons someone would do this:
a) They’re new to the game and they think it’s impressive (i.e. this person is a huge fish waiting to be taken to the cleaners).
b) He’s really pessimistic about his game (i.e. this person is a huge fish waiting to be taken to the cleaners).
In case you’re wondering which one he turned out to be . . . he’s already down 25BB 30 minutes into the session.
Update: The fish just went on tilt. He’s raised pre-flop 7 of the last 10 hands and lost every single one. I took him on a particularly painful beat.
