Just found this story about the first Howard Lederer Fantasy Poker Camp. Seems pretty obvious most of the folks in this story did not really come to better their game. Most were just thrilled to be playing against people they’ve seen on television.
Looks like the WSOP will start to become more than an annual event. ESPN (and plenty of others, I’m sure) looking to jump the poker shark will be hosting mini-WSOP’s across the country each ending in a $10,000 NL tournament.
